Dr. Abdel Gawad earned her medical degree from Cairo University and completed her psychiatry residency training at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston. She completed her fellowship training at George Washington University / Inova Fairfax Hospital, subspecializing in consultation-liaison (CL) psychiatry. Dr. Abdel Gawad is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) in both general adult psychiatry and in CL psychiatry.
